Linda C. Windsor

November 29, 1947 - January 22, 2024

WAYNESBORO – Linda Ellen (Campbell) Windsor, 76, passed away Monday (January 22, 2024) in her home.

Linda was born in Monterey on November 29, 1947 and was the daughter of the late Harl Manning Campbell and Anna Lee (Hoover) Campbell. She was employed as a sales associate for Montgomery Ward for 33 years. She then worked as district manager for A&N for seven years, and finally as bookkeeper for Pleasant View Lawn and Home Care for a number of years before fully retiring. She was a long-time active member and Sunday school teacher at Parkway Wesleyan Church.

Linda’s love for her Savior shaped everything she did, whether supporting her grandchildren, serving her church family, cooking, camping or traveling. She was a great listener and was genuinely devoted to the joy of those around her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas MacArthur Windsor; and her son, Douglas Allan Windsor.

Surviving are her daughter, Amy Windsor Snead (husband Michael) of Waynesboro; daughter-in-law Shelly Mae Windsor of Erwin, Tenn.; brothers Terry Campbell (Josephine) of Churchville and Robert Campbell (Miriam) of Greenville; grandchildren Dakota Garrett Windsor (Jessica), Tayler Crum (Jason), Mackenzie Eavey (James), Ty Michael Snead, and Ayden Windsor Snead; great-grandchildren Mackson and Miller Crum, Hadleigh and Hudson Eavey, and Mason, Parker, Reagan and Khloe Windsor; and many nieces, nephews and cousins whom she loved dearly.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 25 in Oak Lawn Memory Gardens, officiated by Pastor Adam Watts.

The family will receive friends at the residence.
