Leon Sigler

Leon "Siggy" Sigler, 74, of Stanley, passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2023, at Skyview Springs Nursing and Rehab in Luray.He was born on September 2, 1949, in Stanley and was a son of Johnny Sigler and Tilivie "Tilly" Sigler.Leon is survived by a son, Adam Wayne Sigler of Luray; a grandson, Christian Emmett Sigler of Luray; two brothers, Noah Sigler of Stanley, and Ward Sigler of Pennsylvania; and two sisters, Betty Pence of Shenandoah, and Mildred of San Diego, CA. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter Sigler and Jesse Sigler; and three sisters, Jeanette Shifflett, Christine Breeden and Ruth Cardin.Leon has many nieces and nephews, as well as family and friends, who loved him so much. He had two special friends, Davy and Danielle Alger, who thought the world of him. Leon loved to hunt whitetail deer. It brought him so much joy.A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Monday, December 18, at the Trinity Church of the Brethren, with light refreshments following the service.
