Lee Allen Goldizen

Lee Allen Goldizen, age 87 of Winchester, VA and formerly of Petersburg, WV passed away on Friday. June 9, 2023 at Grant Rehabilitation and Care Center.
Lee Allen was born on April 21, 1936 in Jordan Run, WV and was a son of the late Luther “Butch” Goldizen and Angie Jane (Barger) Goldizen. 
In addition to his parents, Lee Allen was preceded in death by an infant son, Lee Allen Goldizen II and son-in-law, John W. Edge.
Lee Allen is survived by his lifelong friend and companion, Brenda; two daughters, Lucretia “LuAnn” Goldizen Edge and Dr. Cristina Goldizen and husband W. Thomas Berrett; one granddaughter, Samantha Leigh Berrett; one sister, Carolyn Nelson and husband Robert of Centreville, VA.
Lee Allen was a 1955 graduate of Petersburg High School.  He owned Goldizen Timber and Trucking Company until 2000.  Lee Allen drove for Lady B Trucking until he retired in 2017.  His passion was his dogs, Jasper, Taco, Dumpie, Gracie and Little Man.  
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 from 10 AM till 1 PM.  A funeral service will begin at 1 PM in the chapel of Schaeffer Funeral Home with Pastor Daryl Dunsmore officiating.  Interment will follow in the Brights Chapel Cemetery, Henricks, WV.
