Laura A. King

CHURCHVILLE – Laura Ann (Williams) King, 99, widow of John Francis King and formerly of Churchville, died Friday (September 15, 2023) in Brightview Assisted Living, Staunton.

Mrs. King was born October 7, 1923 in Wayne, Ohio, daughter of Norman Kingsley Williams and Marion (Flory) Williams. She was a graduate of Toledo School of Nursing, Bowling Green and Ohio State Universities and was employed as a Registered Nurse.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. King was preceded in death by two sisters, Jean Winans, Ruth Reynolds and a brother, Lewis Williams. In addition to a sister, Julia Hirzel of Pemberville Ohio, she is survived by five children and their spouses, Peter and Mary King of Herndon, Andrew and Deborah King of St. Petersburg, Fla., James and Jan King of Primm Springs, Tenn., Juliana and Don Benner of Deerfield, and Mariana and Bryan Straathof of Bethesda, Md.; thirteen grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.

A visitation will take place Friday evening, October 6 at Bear Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be conducted Saturday, October 7 in Green Hill Cemetery.
