Kim Hamilton Stone
Kim Hamilton Stone,80, of Fishersville, passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at Augusta Health. He was born in Staunton on March 15, 1946, a son of the late Henry Alexander “Buck” Stone and Gladys (Hamilton) “Boydy” Stone.
Kim worked at DuPont until his retirement in 2009. He was passionate about cars and drag racing. Model Trains, gardening with his flowers and vegetables, playing with fireworks and spending time with family and friends were a few of his favorite hobbies.
Survivors include his loving wife of 43 years, Judy (Campbell) Stone, who he married on February 4, 1983. He is also survived by his daughter, Kim Hamilton (Stone) Cook and her husband, Remy; brothers-in-law, Manuel Campbell and his wife, Maria and Woody Yowell and wife, Trishie; a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins; friends, Ronnie Dameron, Wayne Craig, Gary Stroop, Kenny Fisher, Paul Simpson, Gary Coiner, and numerous additional friends.
Kim is also survived by his four legged friend, Odus.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2pm on Sunday, August 9, 2026 at Charlton and Groome Funeral Home with Rev. Andy Shiflett officiating. The family will received friends following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Kim’s memory to your local SPCA.
