Kevin Scott Small

Kevin Scott Small, 45, of Shipman, Virginia, passed away on Friday, April 18, 2025 at his residence. 
Mr. Small was born in Staunton, Virginia on October 6, 1979, a son of Debra Kay (Bradds) Fitzgerald and the late Stanley Wayne Small.
Kevin was employed with Ryder Trucking as a forklift operator. He was a member of the Waynesboro Moose Lodge 1309 and enjoyed fishing in his spare time. Known for his vibrant spirit, Kevin was often the 'Life of the Party.'
In addition to his father, Mr. Small was preceded in death by his stepfathers, Rick Lambert and Glenn Fitzgerald; his maternal grandmother, Geraldine Bradds; and his great-aunt, Jewel Trainum. 
Surviving, in addition to his mother of Verona, is the love of his life, Sabrina Thornton; his step-children, Hunter Morris, Ty Thornton, and Ashley Adkins; a special daughter, Haidyn Thornton; his brother, Jeffrey Small; two sisters, Lucinda “Sissy” Small and Samantha Lambert; four step-grandchildren, Bentley, Avery, Axel, and Maverick; and his best friend, Brittany Bayne. 
The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 27, 2025 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 28, 2025 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Anthony Rowe.
