Kenny Harris

Kenny Melvin Harris, 68, of Waynesboro, passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at his home. He was born in Louisa, Virginia on November 23, 1957, a son of the late Earl Shannon Harris and Mamie Clyde Hall.

Kenny worked as an Auto Body Technician and a Mechanic for Pepsi Cola Company in Charlottesville for 25 years until his retirement in 2009. He enjoyed watching westerns and cartoons.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Joe Harris and Clyde Harris; his sister, Ella “Toby” Braun; his baby brother, Eugene; his grandmother, Annie Mae Hall and his aunt, Annie Hall.

Survivors include his loving wife of 49 years, Becky K. Harris; his daughters, Stephanie Harris (Russell) and Jennifer Harris; his grandchildren, JayKob Thompson, Madison Baggett, two step-grandsons and two step-granddaughters; his thirteen step great-grandchildren; his siblings, Clarence Harris of Richmond, Annie Harris of Louisa, and Bonnie Dunnuck (Allen) of North Carolina; his 12 nieces and nephews; his numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews and two cousins, who were like brothers to him.

A Memorial Service will be conducted at 3pm on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at Charlton and Groome Funeral Home, 619 Lifecore Drive, Fishersville, with Pastor Doug Henderson officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to services.
