Kennie Wiseman
Kennie Thomas Wiseman, 93, of Crimora, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 12, 2025. He was born July 9, 1931 in Crimora, Virginia, son of the late Howard Bell Wiseman and the late Mira Ruth Humphrey Wiseman.
Kennie was a graduate of Wilson Memorial High School and retired July 9, 1989, as a Mechanic with DuPont, after 34 years of service. An Honorably Discharged U. S. Army Veteran, he served in Korea and attained the rank of Sergeant. He was a member of Pleasant Valley Church of the Brethren. Kennie enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, riding his tractor, mowing the lawn and especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
The family would like to offer a special thanks to the nursing staff at Regency, and to his hospice nurse, Lauren Gochenour.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by wife, Evelyn Wiseman; his son, William Wiseman; his sister, Naomi Johnson and his brother, Mac Wiseman.
Survivors include his three children, Teresa Iseli of Crimora, Mitchell Wiseman and his wife, Dianne of Stuarts Draft and Debbie Aldhizer of Weyers Cave; his granddaughter, Michelle Wells and her husband, Steven Wells of Crimora; his great-granddaughter, Emily Wells; his sister, Virginia Davis of Waynesboro and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00pm, Thursday, March 20, 2025, at the Charlton and Groome Funeral Home, 619 Lifecore Dr., Fishersville, conducted by Pastor Matthew Fike. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00pm until 7:00pm, prior to the service.
