Kenneth Sidney Slifer, Sr.

Kenneth Sidney Slifer, Sr., 87, of Rockingham, passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2026 at his home.

He was born on September 23, 1939 and was a son of the late William and Ethel (Atkinson) Slifer.

On December 14, 1958, Kenneth was united in marriage to Betty Louise (Miller) Slifer who preceded him in death on June 19, 2006.

Kenneth is survived by children, Kenneth (Cathy) Slifer, Jr., Kevin Slifer; grandchildren, Amelia Slifer, Justin Slifer, Autumn (Daniel) Fulk, Chris Slifer; one great grandchild; half-sister, Ronnie Bird; daughter-in-law, Debbie Slifer.

In addition to his wife and parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by son, Michael Slifer.

A service celebrating Kenneth's life will be held on October 10, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Johnson Funeral and Cremation Service in Bridgewater with Pastor Paul Roth officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be private.
