Kenneth "Ronnie" Ronald Sizer
Kenneth "Ronnie" Ronald Sizer, 74, passed away peacefully at Staunton Post Acute and Rehabilitation Center in Staunton on Thursday, June 22, 2023.
He was born on May 14, 1949 in Lexington to the late Dr. Kenneth Brown, Sr. and Georgia Isabelle Camden Sizer.
Ronnie was a self-employed carpenter by trade, but he was much more than that to everyone who knew him. He had a heart of gold and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His kind personality and love for people will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
As a carpenter by profession, Ronnie took immense pride in his work and was dedicated to completing each project with the highest level of craftsmanship.
Ronnie had a true appreciation for nature, the outdoors, and history. He was an avid woodsman and spent much of his free time reading about the world around him. He also loved his ever-present, four-legged companion, Rufus.
He served his country honorably during the Vietnam Conflict in the United States Army.
He is survived by many friends and loved ones who mourn his passing including his very good friend and caretaker, Jayne Kiscaden and his special friends, Liz and Ralph Rubino. He was also a friend of Bill W.'s for many years.
Ronnie's legacy will live on through those whose lives he touched so deeply.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
It is suggested that those desiring may make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society (P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741).
