Kenneth L. Moore

Kenneth L. Moore, 88, of Waynesboro passed away on Monday, July 10, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Rockbridge County on November 14, 1934, a son of the late Robert and Cora Moore.

Kenneth proudly served in the United States Army as Combat Medic during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a barber, a truck driver, and lastly worked for the city of Waynesboro until his retirement. Kenneth was a member of Faith Worship Center.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings and his son, Jeffery Keith Moore.

Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years, Shirley Moore; children: Chuck Moore and wife, Shelly of Verona, Sharon Nystrom of Stuarts Draft, Robert Moore and wife, Lori of Waynesboro, and Mike Moore and wife, Millie of Bedford; 16 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; sisters: Rosie Dedrick of Waynesboro, Anna Margret Mayo of Baltimore, MD, and Sue Denton of Camden, SC; as well as extended family and friends.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2pm on Monday, July 17, 2023 at Faith Worship Center, 2522 Tinkling Spring Rd, Stuarts Draft, with Pastor Dennis Bradley officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church.

The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the staff with the Augusta Health Hospice of the Shenandoah and the staff at Augusta Health for their loving care of Kenneth and his family.
