Keith William Burt

Keith William Burt was born January 9, 1960, at Chanute Air Force Base, in Rantoul, Champaigne, Illinois and passed away on December 5, 2023, peacefully into his Savior's arms, aged 63 years 10 months 27 days. 
In his early years the family moved around the world as his father, William, was serving our country in the US Air Force. 
He was preceded in death by his father, William Dean Burt and step-mother, Rosemary Smart Burt. 
Keith graduated high school in Little Rock. He graduated from college in Arkansas and earned a Master of Divinity from Liberty University. 
On July 5, 2000 he married Carolyn Boggs at Fishersville Baptist Church. They made their home in Fishersville. Together they adopted Skyler and April, whom they raised. 
Keith is survived by his loving wife and caregiver, Carolyn; children, Skyler and April; stepchildren, Nathan and Ashley of Waynesboro, VA; step-grandchildren, Elizabeth Johnson of Fishersville, VA, Lillith Tinsley of Waynesboro, VA, Emma and Vivian Simmons of Staunton, VA.; and a step-great-granddaughter, Eleena Lindsay of Fishersville, VA. Also surviving him is his mother, Donna Severn Smith of San Antonio, TX; sisters, Kathleen Burt, also of San Antonio, TX, and Karole Dillard of Mt. Crawford, VA.
Keith compiled 365 Facebook posts he made starting in 2009 into a book titled With Unveiled Face with the help of a friend. The devotional has had a significant impact on many who seek peace and comfort in Jesus as Lord. His disability made it difficult to join others in worship at church, but he continued to grow in his faith through reading the bible and prayer.
Private services at Greenland Gap in WV will be held later.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
