Kathryn A. Hosaflook

STAUNTON – Kathryn Elaine “Kitty” (Anderson) Hosaflook, 91, died Wednesday (November 23, 2022) in her home.

Born August 28, 1931 in Rockingham County, she was a daughter of the late George William and Meda Blanche (Miller) Anderson. She was a graduate of Bridgewater High School.

Kitty was employed by Bridgewater Retirement Community prior to retirement. She attended Jerusalem Chapel United Brethren in Christ Church, and was an avid gardener who enjoyed raising vegetables and canning the bounty she produced.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddy Ray “Bud” Hosaflook; two sisters, Jean Lambert and Mary Jane Michael; and three brothers, George Jr., Robert and Harlan Anderson. Surviving are a daughter, Cynthia Kay Hosaflook of Staunton; a sister, Helen Sheffer of Briery Branch; a brother, Fred Anderson and wife Anna Lee of Briery Branch; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 29 in Mt. Olivet United Brethren in Christ Church Cemetery, Mt. Solon, officiated by Pastor George Etling.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday in Bear Funeral Home.
