Kae-Soon (Choi) Dean

On April 26, 2023, Kae-Soon (Choi) Dean, 92, of Staunton, Virginia passed away in joyful anticipation of Heaven.

Kae-Soon was born in Incheon, Korea, to Choi Sung- Young and Huh Un-Yun on May 9, 1930, the second of nine children.

In 1959, she married Warren Theodore Dean, Sr. in Korea. Kae-Soon and Warren had three children: Ted, Jr., Patty, and Janet. Widowed at age 37, Kae Soon courageously raised her children alone in Virginia. She worked hard to provide for her family and retired in 1995.

Kae-Soon loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She will be remembered for her generosity, love, and dedication to her family.

Kae-Soon is survived by her children: Ted (Laura) Dean, Patty (Steve) Piccinino, Janet (Dean) Pellegrini; grandchildren: Mandy Dean, Brianna Dean, Nick Piccinino, Alisha (Benjamin) Fiegl, Gianna (Matthew) D'Arezzo, Gabriel Dean, and Deano Pellegrini.

Kae-Soon's life will be celebrated at Coffman Funeral Home on June 4, 2023. The family will receive visitors between 1:00 and 2:00, and the service will take place at 2:00.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that any financial donations be given to Shenandoah Hospice House in Fishersville, Virginia.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
