Juanita Caricofe Wagner

Juanita Caricofe Wagner, 99, of Dayton, passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at Blue Ridge Rehabilitation and Nursing.

She was born on February 2, 1924 and was a daughter of the late Jesse and Beulah (Helms) Caricofe.

Juanita had worked in the Dayton Elementary cafeteria for Rockingham County Schools.

She was united in marriage on September 12, 1942 to Kenneth Wagner who preceded her in death on June 1, 1980.

Juanita is survived by her children, Judy (Dennis) Hill, of Dayton, Betty Wagner, of Dayton, and Linda Wagner, of Timberville; brother, Ray Caricofe, of Rockingham; 8 grandchildren, Kenny, Tammy, Joy, David, Michelle, Michael, Lacey, and Jared; 15 great grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Debbie Derrow; son-in-law Allen Ray Wheelbarger; two sisters and two brothers.

A service celebrating Juanita's life will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at the Dayton Cemetery with Pastor Karl Magenhoefer officiating.
