Judy Leona Howdyshell Whitmer

Judy Leona Howdyshell Whitmer, 82 (39 always), of Dayton, passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2026.

Judy was born in Ohio on April 9, 1944 and was a daughter of the late Rodney Edward and Leona Miller Howdyshell.

She was united in marriage to Carl Alvin Whitmer, who preceded her in death.

Judy is survived by her children, Jerrold W. Howdyshell, Sr and wife, Anna (Susie), Jeffrey Boda, Debra W. Lane and husband Joseph, Lori Ann Whitmer; sister, Joy Dove; grandchildren, Jerrold Wesley Howdyshell, Jr. and husband Hunter Shuke, Carrie Dudley and husband, Jake, Joey Lane and girlfriend, Stacey Gould, Matthew Lane; great-grandchildren, Raylan Dudley, Nathan Dudley, Claire Dudley, Catherine "Cate" Dudley; nieces, Teresa Howdyshell and Diane Winfrey.

In addition to her husband and parents, Judy is preceded in death by sister, Joyce Kiracofe.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 27, 2026 from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Johnson Funeral and Cremation Service in Bridgewater.

A funeral service celebrating her life will be held at 3:00 PM on June 28th at Spring Creek Church of the Nazarene, with Pastor Billy Curry officiating. Burial will follow at Clover Hill Cemetery in Dayton.
