Joy Lynn McCray

Joy Lynn McCray, 56, of Bridgewater, passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2023.

She was born on July 26, 1967, and was a daughter of the late Claude and Norma (Varner) McCray.

Joy had worked as a USDA Inspector.

Joy is survived by a sister, Linda Holick and husband, Frank, of Rockingham; niece, Misty June McCray of Broadway; nephew, James Smith and wife, Tammy, of Staunton; boyfriend, Edwin "Jett" Jury, Jr.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Edison McCray, and a sister, Judy McCray.

A Memorial service celebrating Joy's life will be held at 11 AM on December 9, 2023, at Johnson Funeral and Cremation Service in Bridgewater, with Chaplin David Kite officiating. The family will receive friend one-hour prior to the service.
