John William Martz

John "Bill" William Martz, 83, of Rockingham, passed away on Friday, November 24, 2023.

He was born on June 25, 1940, and was a son of the late Raymond and Mary (High) Martz.

Bill had worked for Faraway Farms, and in his later years he worked for the R.Y. Frazier family.

Bill was united in marriage on April 21, 1971 to Emma (Garber) Martz, who survives.

Bill is also survived by two children, Susan Martz and husband Lacy Black, Jr., and John "Andy" Martz, a sister, Jean Gregory, a granddaughter, Meghan Wright, and several nephews. He is also survived by a pet cat, Barney.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Charles Martz.

No formal services are scheduled at this time.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Weyers Cave Volunteer Fire Department.
