Joel Lynn Rice

Joel Lynn Rice Sr., 59, of Dayton, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2024.

Joel was born on December 14, 1964 and was a son of the late Danny Loran Rice and Genevieve Delores Torres.

He was united in marriage to Teresa Ann (Nuckols) Rice, who survives. They were married on August 18, 1986.

Joel enjoyed grilling out on summer days, watching the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Longhorns play during their seasons. He also loved to work on automobiles and work out in the yard. Joel constantly taught his immediate family members lessons and advice on everyday situations. His family was his pride and joy. He enjoyed his 5 cats, 1 dog, and extended family members pets.

You could always find him watching the History channel or watching older shows during the afternoon on most days. He loved his Little Debbie snack cakes. He enjoyed staying at home and working on little projects. He never complained about anything and always went with the flow.

He is also survived by children, Joel Rice, Jr., Brittany Rice, Patrick Rice, Alexandra Rice, Benjamin Rice, and Amelia Rice; brother, Mark Paulson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Joel was preceded in death by brother, Dirk Paulson and mother-in-law, JoAnn Nuckols.

Services will be private.
