Jimmy B. Grant

Jimmy Boyd Grant, 89, passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at Augusta Health in Fishersville. 
He was born on December 11, 1934 in Montebello to the late Vernard Owen and Hattie Agnes Allen Grant.Jimmy had a fulfilling career as a truck driver, retiring after years of service from Houff Transfer in Weyers Cave. Before that, he dedicated his time to working in the family logging business.In his free time, Jimmy was an active member of Stuarts Draft Baptist Church. He found joy in attending church events and connecting with his faith community. Jimmy also had a passion for maintaining his lawn and took pride in mowing it with precision. But above all, he cherished spending time with his grandchildren and family.He is survived by his sons, David Boyd Grant and his wife, Debbi and Robin Dale Grant and his wife, Diane Wynn; his grandchildren, Nathaniel Claiborne Grant and his wife, Christine, Miranda Kaye Grant, Caitlin Victoria Grant Zirkle and her husband, Seth, Jessica Nichole Grant, and Matthew Christopher Grant.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife, Wilma Joyce Graves Grant and a son, Michael Owen Grant.The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Henry Funeral Home in Staunton. Immediately following the visitation, a funeral service will take place at the same location at 11:00 AM with Pastor John Ward officiating.
