Jerry Thorton Rohm, Sr.

Jerry Thornton Rohm, Sr. 89, of Crimora, passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2023 at the Virginia Veterans Care Center in Roanoke.
He was born September 4, 1934, a son of the late Rolla Augusta and Virgie Thomas (Shiflett) Rohm. He was the last survivor of his immediate family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 5 brothers.

He retired from the United States Army after 20 year of service as an E-7 and was a member of Crimora United Methodist Church.

Survivors include wife of 66 years, Vivian S. Rohm; son, Jerry Rohm, Jr. and wife Teresa; daughter, Venessa Rohm-Peters and companion, Darrell Rowe; two granddaughters, Jessica Stephenson, Rebecca Peters; three great-grandchildren, Caleb Stephenson, Drew Stephenson, Deckylon Lawson, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

A service of committal with military rites will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 9, 2024 at Culpeper National Cemetery with Pastor Billy Coffey officiating.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 8, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 618 W. Main St. Waynesboro, Va.
