Jerry Ann Halloway Reed

Jerry Ann (Halloway) Reed, 81, widow of James H. Reed, Sr., of 221 Twin Hills Lane, Fishersville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her family and friend, Gloria Davis.
Mrs. Reed was born in Centralia, Illinois on November 15, 1941, a daughter of the late Gerald Dwight Halloway and Lillian Warren (McNeeley) Halloway.
Jerry was a member of the Augusta Genealogy Society and DAR. She enjoyed going to the antique mall and library, reading, painting, and spending time with family. Mrs. Reed won Miss Congeniality at a Miss Senior pageant in 2012. Jerry was a 35 year breast and ovarian cancer survivor. 
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Reed was preceded in death by a sister, Juanita Granado.
Surviving, are two sisters, Barbara (Tom) Baggett and Betty Bates; three children, Joyce Wilson and her husband, Brendan, Deborah Botkin and her husband, Gary and James Reed Jr. and his wife, Katie; grandchildren, Robert and Michele Wilson, James and Lindsay Wilson, Mia and Greg Strickler, Andrew and Anna Botkin, Kendal Botkin, Liam Reed, and Breanna Reed; great-grandchildren, Reed and Emily Wilson, Jack and Ellis Wilson, and Addileigh Botkin; and numerous nieces and nephews. 
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 in McKinley United Methodist Cemetery by Pastor Luke B. Smith.
Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren. 
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
