Janice Mae (Wimer) Bodkin

Janice Mae (Wimer) Bodkin, 84, of Dayton, passed away on Friday, July 17, 2026.

She was born on February 23, 1942, and was a daughter of the late Warren Wilson and Tressie (Propst) Wimer.

Janice was united in marriage to William Leroy Bodkin, who preceded her in death on May 18, 2024. She enjoyed reading, fishing, square dancing and playing cards. She also enjoyed taking trips. A couple of her favorites were to Yellowstone and Hawaii.

Janice is survived by son, Michael (Ginger) Bodkin, of Stuarts Draft; brothers, Wilson Wimer, Ona "Bud" (Myrtle) Wimer; sister, Thelma Lohr; sister-in-law, Emma Bodkin; grandchildren, Jessica Rice, Tiffany Agler, Chance Chandler; four great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by son, Kermit Bodkin and sister-in-law, Peggy Wimer.

A memorial service celebrating Janice's life will be held at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at Johnson Funeral & Cremation Service in Bridgewater.
