Jacob Junior Morris

Jacob Junior Morris, 92, passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at Harrisonburg Health and Rehab. He was born on February 26, 1931, to the late Jacob and Mary (Morris) Morris, in Rockingham County.

He was united in marriage to Kathleen (Rankin) Morris, who preceded him in death.

Jacob worked as a brick mason and served his country in the U.S. Army.

Jacob is survived by children, Debbie Ross (Page), Diana Miller (Cecil), Don Morris (Phyllis), Dallas Morris (companion Tanya); thirteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Daphne Root, two sisters and one brother.

A visitation will be held from 6:00PM to 8:00 PM, on Monday, October 9, 2023, at Johnson Funeral and Cremation Service in Grottoes.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at Johnson Funeral and Cremation Service Chapel in Grottoes, with Greg Stentson and Rev. Jim Kite officiating. A graveside service will follow at Port Republic Mutual Cemetery.
