Jaclyn M. Bennett
CHURCHVILLE – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Jaclyn Marie Bennett on October 18, 2026.
Jaclyn was born in Baltimore, Maryland on March 13, 1983, a daughter of Brenda Joy (Darnell) Bennett of Churchville and the late Clarence Oliver “John Henry” Bennett. She was a 2001 graduate of Buffalo Gap High School.
She was preceded in death by her father; and two brothers, Edward “Eddie” Wines and Luther “Luke” Wines. Surviving in addition to her mother are three sisters, Karen Gill Miller of Broadway, Barbara Burger of Madison and Cheryl Spencer of Swoope; a brother, Clarence “Junior” Bennett; and a host of extended family members and dear friends.
Words cannot fully express the sorrow we feel. Her love for her family was a special part of who she was. Her love for the Lord was an important part of her life. Jaclyn had a creative spirit and found joy in painting and crafts. She also had a special love for animals. Her presence will be deeply missed. As we say our final earthly goodbye, we take comfort in our faith and the hope that comes from knowing the Lord. Though our hearts grieve, we trust that Jaclyn is now at peace in His loving arms.
Services for Jaclyn will take place on October 30, 2026: a graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. in Green Hill Cemetery (Churchville); and a celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m. in Grubert Avenue (Staunton) Church of God. Pastor Jerry Thomas will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, please consider posting fond memories or making a memorial contribution toward her final expenses at www.bearfuneralhome.com.
Until we meet again, Jaclyn, may you rest peacefully in the loving arms of the Lord. You will always be loved.
