Ina Jean Martha Evick

Ina Jean Martha Evick, age 92, of Brandywine, WV, passed away on Monday, October 30, 2023, at the Pendleton Manor in Franklin, WV. She was born on August 15, 1931, at Oak Flat, WV, the daughter of the late Hurley J. and Lucy Jane (Mitchell) Sinnett. On December 15, 1948, Ina married Lee Roy Evick, who preceded her in death on October 8, 2022. 

Ina attended Oak Flat and Brandywine Schools and was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Ina had worked as a Postmaster in the Ft. Seybert Post Office for more than 30 years.

Ina leaves behind to cherish her memory: 2 sons, Lee Roy Evick, Jr. (Nancy) and Albert Lester Evick (Pamela) all of Ft. Seybert, WV; 6 granddaughters, Michelle Lynn Kuykendall (Danny), Allison Rae Moats (Sam), Josie Lee Wright (Zethan), Leigh Rian Richmond (Jesse Blevins), Gayle Yvonne Combs (Wes), Meghan Michelle Evick (CJ Funk); 17 great-grandchildren, Jacob, John, Javin, Jaxon, and Justus Kuykendall, Kyel and Julian Towler, Bryson, Ethan, and Liam Moats, Roman, Declan Wright, Amber Allen, Autum Yonkovich, Kayleigh Richmond, Kaden Richmond, and Easton Combs.; and 3 great-great-grandchildren, Preston, Legend, and Jaslyn Allen.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by: a daughter, Mary Margaret Evick; a brother, John Paul Sinnett; and 2 sisters, Nora Jane Bland and Dorothy Yancey. 

Ina's family will receive friends on Friday, November 3, 2023, 10-11 AM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin, WV. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Keith Pitsnogle officiating. Memorials may be made to South Frok Volunteer Fire Department.
