Hunter Carvien Pugh, Sr.

June 5, 1960 - December 31, 2023

Hunter Carvien Pugh, Sr., 63, of Lyndhurst passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2023 at his home.
Born May 5, 1960 in Waynesboro, he was a son of the late Talley Carvien and Bonnie Jane (Hickman) Pugh.

Prior to retirement, Hunter was employed by Bormann Construction where he worked as a carpenter before opening his own business with his son, Cody, H & C Remodeling. He was a member of the Waynesboro Moose Lodge #1191 and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Lodge #4129. Hunter was an avid NASCAR fan, enjoyed driving his truck he nicknamed “Big Blue” and taking it off road mudding, and camping and fishing with family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Carvien Pugh; paternal grandmother, Willie L. Pugh; uncle, Glen Hickman; stepmother, June Pugh; and close friend, Kim Fitzgerald.

Survivors include his wife, Ann (Rankin) Pugh of Lyndhurst; three children, Frankie Pugh of Elkton, Va, Crystal Fuller of Dooms, and Cody Pugh and wife, Samantha of Lyndhurst; grandchildren, Destany Pugh, Christian Pugh, Odessa Craun, Emma Craun, Jeremiah Rowe, Chrissy Terrell, Tommy Terrell, Robbie Terrell, Izaick Ludington, and Takoda Johnson; sister, Judi Blatt and husband, Dave of Highland Mills, NY; nephew, Conner Blatt; niece, McKenzie Blatt; three stepdaughters, Kelly Johnson and husband, Brit Shuck of Crimora, Lindsay Ludington of Mt. Sidney, Va, and Megan Terrell and husband, Joshua of Lyndhurst; step son-in-law, Tim Ludington of Lyndhurst; lifetime best friends, Robin Brown and Donna May; special friend, Tonya Price; and special cousin, Anthony Hester.

A celebration of life service will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at Hope Community Church, 2910 W. Main St., Waynesboro. The family will receive friends following the service.
