Houston "Butch" Granville Gaddy

Houston Granville “Butch” Gaddy, Jr., 86, husband of Denise Anne Gaddy of Staunton, passed away on Friday, June 5, 2026 at Augusta Health in Fishersville. Mr. Gaddy was born in Staunton on October 23, 1939, the son of the late Houston Granville Gaddy, Sr. and Wilhelmina (Viel) Gaddy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, William “Bill” Gaddy; a grandson, Gabriel Jensen; and two sisters, Page Bray and Diane Miller. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Kimberly Beavers, Patricia Campbell, and Crystal Jensen; grandchildren, Jackson, Genny B., Felicia (Austin), Jake (Anna), Garrett, Ashlyn, Tristian, Koji, Page, Aaron, and Zane; great-grandchildren, Scottie Joe, Summit, and Julia; a sister, Wilhelmina Cash (Erskine) and numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at White Hill Church by Pastor David Chappell. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service. Active pallbearers will be Jake Maupin, Garrett Campbell, Jamie Shipe, Danny Grant, David Bray, Chad McCoy and Bill McMeans.
