Holly Hall

December 6, 1990 - October 6, 2023

Holly Ann Hall, 32, went to be with her Savior on Friday, October 6, 2023. She passed away peacefully in her home with her family by her side in Waynesboro, Virginia. She was born December 6, 1990, in Memphis, Tennessee.

Holly graduated from the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga with a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science. Always excited by new challenges and opportunities, she held many different positions in her career, but ultimately found her passion working with autistic children as a Registered Behavior Technician. Her selfless love and dedication to these children touched many lives.

Embodying an endless adventurous spirit, Holly loved traveling and spending time outdoors. She was an avid rock climber and hiker, frequently taking advantage of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains right out her back door. If you ever had the chance to join her on a trek outside, you know how contagious and palpable the joy on her face was.

Holly deeply loved her husband, Matt, and never tired of taking on new adventures together. From getting married in the mountains of Crested Butte, Colorado, to backpacking through Europe, Africa, and much of the US, they shared a special love that can never be broken. She was always thankful for the life they created together.

Nothing made her prouder than being a mother. Sharing her joy for adventure and new experiences with William over the last 2 ½ years brought her happiness in ways nothing else did. Whether it was taking him to a new zoo or aquarium, introducing him to the beach for the first time, hiking a well-trod trail near their home, or simply playing with him in their backyard, the bond between mother and son during these moments was something greater than words can adequately express.

Survivors include her husband of five years, Matthew Hall; two-year-old son, William Hall; parents, Arnold Lindberg, Jr. and Joanne Lindberg, of Collierville, Tennessee; sister, Rachel Ball and her husband, Zachary Ball of Collierville, Tennessee; and her nieces, Harper Ball and Emerson Ball.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm, Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at the Charlton and Groome Funeral Home, 619 Lifecore Drive, Fishersville, VA. A funeral service will be held there at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, October 11, 2023, conducted by Pastor Todd Brown. Interment will follow in Augusta Memorial Park, Waynesboro, VA.

In lieu of flowers, Holly requested that donations be sent to exceptional medical centers where she received part of her treatment: the National Institutes of Health (NIH) - Dr. Arun Rajan’s Thymic Cancer Research and to the New York Proton Center. Donations can either be sent via checks made out to Matthew Hall, and mailed to “Hall, P.O. Box 8, Knox, IN 46534” or alternatively can be sent through Venmo to @Matt-Hall-139. Donations will then be organized and delivered according to Holly’s wishes.
