Hazel Frances Kelley Forbus

Hazel Frances Kelley Forbus, 98, of Crimora passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Sentara RMH in Harrisonburg.

She was born on May 31, 1927, and was the daughter of the late Elzie M. Kelley and Bertha (Carpenter) Kelley.

Hazel had worked as a waitress at Joe's Restaurant in Staunton before retiring.

Hazel was united in marriage on September 12, 1963, to Richard Harold Forbus, who survives.

In addition to her spouse she is survived by daughters, Debbie Forbus Keller and husband Mike, Deloris Gordon; grandsons, Jeffery M. Keller, Dale Gordon and wife Teresa; great-grandchildren, Melena Motsinger and husband Justin, Dale Gordon, Jr., Kale Gordon; great-great-grandchildren, J.J. Motsinger, Jemma Motsinger; family friends, Hank and Tracy Coffey.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by son, Richard Harold Forbus, Jr., four brothers, one sister, and son-in-law, Larry Gordon.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens, with Pastor Daniel Wine officiating.
