Harry Lee Chandler
Harry Lee Chandler, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away on July 11, 2023, at his residence. He was born on June 13, 1957, in Staunton to the late Harry "Pete" Cleveland and Nora Ann Roberson Chandler.
Throughout his life, Harry had an impressive career as a machine operator at NIBCO, Inc. He was dedicated to his work and was highly regarded by his colleagues for his strong work ethic and precision. Harry took pride in his job and was always willing to go the extra mile to ensure the highest quality standards were met.
Moreover, Harry was an active figure in numerous civic organizations. He was particularly involved with the Elliot's Knob Fraternal Order of Eagles 680, Staunton Elks Lodge 351, Loyal Order of Moose Staunton Lodge, and Staunton Amvets Post 511. Through his commitment to these organizations, Harry contributed greatly to the betterment of his community.
In addition to his professional achievements and community involvement, Harry had a rich array of hobbies and interests. He found joy in working on cars and possessed incredible skill when it came to fixing or tinkering with intricate mechanical systems.
Harry also found immense happiness in spending time with his family. One of his greatest joys was wrestling with his grandchildren, offering them endless laughter and memories that will be cherished for a lifetime.
He is survived by his loving wife Linda Fay Rankin Chandler; daughters, Crystal Lee Thompson, Melissa Ann Chandler, and Jennifer Mae Chandler ; son, Harry Lee Chandler "Junior" (Lauren Rinker Chandler).; stepson, Troy Johnson; stepdaughter, Amanda Talley (Jonathan); grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Payton, Kelsey, Ivory, Leon, Levi, and Weston; sisters, Linda Sue Chandler Coffey (Dennis Wyatt Coffey), Virginia "Diane" Chandler Brown (Larry Ross Brown), and Brenda Ellen Chandler Drumheller (Scott Allan Drumheller); sister-in-law, Brenda Coffey; special friend, Wayne Miller; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by nephews, Jason Lynnwood Drumheller and Anthony Ross Brown; and niece, Tonya Renee Coffey.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Monday, July 17, 2023 in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Darrell Via officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens.
Active pallbearers will be Chris Talley, Jonathan Talley, Kevin Coffey, John Liptrap, Chris Bradley, and Adam Blackwell.
