Grace G. Gayhart

GREENVILLE – Grace Myhola (Griffin) Gayhart, 89, died Saturday, August 26, 2023.

Born July 2, 1934 in Augusta County, she was a daughter of Henry Vernon and Rettie (Hamilton) Griffin.

Grace retired from Western State Hospital and was later employed by Ryans and Country Cookin.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Gayhart; five sisters, Emma Sheets, Jewel Moyers, Lacey Cook, Lillian Shifflett and Virginia Marrett; and six brothers, Leon, Frank, Fred, Ferry, Jack and George Griffin. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 10 a.m., Thursday, August 31 in the chapel of Bear Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Charles Griffin. Burial will follow in Oak Lawn Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be David and Daniel Wise, Randy and Wayne Griffin, and David Chandler. Honorary pallbearer will be Will Griffin.
