Georgie Kay Bosserman

WEST AUGUSTA – Georgie Kay (Dorsey) “JoKay” Fix Bosserman, 77, of West Augusta, passed away Thursday (March 21, 2024) at her residence.

Born in Clay, West Virginia on June 27, 1946, she was a daughter of the late Clint Ben Dorsey and Georgie Genevieve (Morton) Dorsey. She was a 1964 graduate of Buffalo Gap High School. JoKay was employed as a bookkeeper for Augusta Petroleum prior to retirement. JoKay’s favorite joys included taking trips to Pigeon Forge, Tenn. and West Virginia, and spending time with her precious grandsons and great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Mae Dorsey and Helen Jomayne Gee; and two brothers, Benny Ray Dorsey and Billy Joe Dorsey. She is survived by her husband, Willie Merlin Bosserman, Jr., whom she married on November 19, 2001; a daughter, Kimberly Dawn Fix-Glover and husband Jeff E. Glover of Greenville; brother Jamie Dorsey and wife Darlene of Churchville; sister Patsy Osborne and husband Jimmy of Indore, W.Va.; brother-in-law Jimmy Gee and wife Neila of West Augusta; grandsons Cody E. Glover (Rachael Shull) and Clancy E. Glover (Brittany Walls); great-granddaughter Abigail R. Glover; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2:30 pm on Monday, March 25 in the chapel of Bear Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Lester Kennedy. Burial will follow in West Augusta Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Alvin Bosserman, Keith Bosserman, Chris Gee, Benji Gee, John Henry Curry and Austin Lam.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service, beginning at 1 p.m.
