Genevieve Grace Ritchie

Genevieve Grace Ritchie, 80, of Grottoes, passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2023.

She was born on January 5, 1943, and was a daughter of the late Raymond and Maybelle (Raynes) Ritchie.

Genevieve had worked for GE/Genicom for a number of years before retiring from RMH where she worked in medical supply. She was a member of Mill Creek Church of the Brethren. She loved to watch Western shows and Wheel of Fortune.

Genevieve is survived by a sister-in-law, Faye Ritchie; nieces and nephews, Gloria Simmons, Ralph (Deborah) Ritchie, Jr., Linda Sue (Donald) Treslow, Tammy (James) Talley, Junior Arthur Ritchie, Johnnie Breeden, Jr., Debbie (Steve) Campbell, Michelle Breeden, and Michael (Tammy) Ritchie.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by siblings, Irene Ritchie, Arthur Ritchie, Ralph Ritchie, Arbutus Breeden, and Frankie Ritchie; sister-in-law, Sharon Ritchie; nieces and nephews, Jeff Ritchie, Scotty Ritchie, Keith Breeden, Jamie Ritchie, and Betty Jean Ritchie; many great nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2023 at Johnson Funeral and Cremation Service in Grottoes.

A service celebrating Genevieve's life will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, December 7th at Mill Creek Church of the Brethren, with Pastor Glenn Bollinger officiating. Burial will follow at Port Republic Cemetery.
