Geneva Edith (Nesselrodt) Lambert
Geneva Edith Nesselrodt Lambert, 88, of Dayton, Virginia, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, September 13, 2026.
Born on April 26, 1938, in Brandywine, West Virginia, Geneva was the daughter of the late George Edmund Nesselrodt and Anna Elizabeth Shaver Nesselrodt Eye. She graduated from Franklin High School in 1956. On November 29, 1958, she married Warnie Delano Lambert.
Geneva was a dedicated secretary for more than 50 years at Valley Washers. She was an active member of Victory Fellowship Church in Dayton. Geneva enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading, and working in her flower gardens.
She is survived by her husband, Warnie; children, Rebecca L. Acker (Warren) and Barry A. Lambert (Jan); grandchildren, David L. Acker (Jenny), Melissa A. Reeves (Matthew), Evan A. Lambert (Brooklyn Michael); great-grandchildren, Madison and Mason Reeves; sisters, Louise Pence and Lois Hottinger; brother, Paul Nesselrodt and many nieces and nephews.
Geneva was preceded in death by her parents, brothers-in-laws, William Hottinger and Ernie Pence; sister-in-law, Jane Nesselrodt, and grandson, Delan Scott Lambert.
The family will receive friends between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at Johnson Funeral and Cremation Service in Bridgewater. The casket will be closed.
A celebration of Geneva's life will be held at 2:00 PM, on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at Victory Fellowship Church in Dayton, with Pastor Tim McAvoy officiating. A private graveside service will take place at Dayton Cemetery, where Geneva will be laid to rest.
