Gary Riggleman

Gary Spencer “Cooper” Riggleman age 78, of Moorefield WV passed away Tuesday December 12, 2023, at his residence. Born on May 11, 1945, in Rig, WV. He was the son of the late Earnest S. Riggleman and Mildred J. Mongold Riggleman. In addition to his parents, Mr. Riggleman was also preceded in death by his two brothers Haven Riggleman and Ersel Riggleman.

He is survived by his wife Wanda Riggleman, his two children Angelina R. Harman (Michael “Todd” Harman), Jeremy M. Riggleman. Grandchildren Spencer Harman, Christian Harman, and Arianna Vance Riggleman.

He has one surviving sister Shelvey Shifflett of Stephens City Va. He has several surviving nieces and nephews.

Gary retired 2007 from Pilgrim’s Pride after 30+ years. He retired at age 62. He was an avid fisherman until recent years. He enjoyed gardening, canning, and trying out new vegetables in the garden. Weekdays he enjoyed going to McDonalds or Burger King for breakfast to talk and hang out with friends. He enjoyed his inside cats and fed the local strays. He served in the Army and was based in Okinawa Island in Japan.

The family will receive friends and family from 7:00 -9:00 pm Thursday December 14, 2023 at Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg, WV.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, Friday December 15, 2023, at the funeral home with Pastor Coleman Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Newhouse Cemetery, Rig WV.
