Gary Wayne Moore

Gary Wayne Moore, 67, of Waynesboro, went to meet the Lord on Friday, August 1, 2025 at his home. He was born August 8, 1957 in Baltimore, Maryland, son of the late Samuel Franklin Moore and the late Elsie May Cline Moore.

In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death in 2010, by his beloved wife Janet Lynn Moore; his siblings, Nancy Ulrich, Patsy Powers, Franklin Dudley, Jonny Moore, Grover Moore and Samuel Moore, Jr.

He is survived by his sons, William Robert Riddle, Gary Wayne Moore and wife, Stephanie Moore, David Franklin Moore and wife, Maria Moore; his grandchildren, Xavier Moore and wife, Hannah Moore, Destiny Trageser, Serenity Moore, Bryson Moore, Brody Riddle, Trinity Trageser, Isaac Riddle, Corbin Moore and Elizabeth Riddle; his siblings, Eva Simmons, Carol Johnson, William Moore and Paul Moore and a special person in his life, Mary Long.

A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 PM, on his birthday, Friday, August 8, 2025 at the Charlton and Groome Funeral Home, 619 Life Dr., Fishersville, conducted by Joe Eavey. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3:00 until 4:00 PM prior to the service. There will be a continuing ceremony at VFW Post 2216, 212 Frontier Drive, Staunton, at 6pm; please bring a dish to share.
