Fred Ona Hottinger

Fred Ona Hottinger, 88, of Brandywine, West Virginia, died Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at Keyser Healthcare Center in Keyser, West Virginia.
He was born January 15, 1935 at Fort Seybert, West Virginia and was the son of the late Isaac Hottinger and Lena Dove Hottinger.
He was a seasonal orchard worker for Rinker Orchards at Stephens City, Virginia, and was a farmer.  He had a passion for gardening, raising watermelons, pumpkins and tomatoes, and he especially enjoyed spending time on his tractor.  Fred was an avid fisherman and attended Cherry Grove Baptist Church.
On October 8, 1956, he married Mary Bonnie Harman Hottinger, who preceded him in death on August 28, 2019.

     Sharon Hottinger of Riverton, WV
     Sondra Ruddle of Brandywine, WV
     Terry (& Terry) Johnson of Circleville, WV
Two sons - 
     Steven Hottinger of Brandywine, WV
     Gary Hottinger of Upper Tract, WV
Nine grandchildren - 
     Jeremy Hottinger, Derek Whetzel, Denim Vance, Seth Casto, Kevin Ruddle, Viola Ball, Amanda Ruddle, Keisha Hottinger and Dawn Halterman
Twenty-one great-grandchildren
And three great-great-grandsons
He was preceded in death by three brothers, six sisters, a granddaughter and a daughter-in-law.  He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, June 26, 2023 at the Hottinger Family Cemetery on Brady Hollow Road, Fort Seybert, West Virginia with Pastor Ted Bennett officiating.
