Franklin Wilford "Buddy" Pettit, 79, of Timberville, passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at White Birch Communities in Harrisonburg.He was born on March 2, 1944, in Washington, DC, and was a son of the late Ray Pettit and Dorothy Leeds Pettit.Buddy is survived by two sons, Craig Pettit of Oceanview, DE, and Randall Pettit of Maryland; his companion, Mildred Robinette of Timberville; a brother, Ray "Billy" Pettit Jr.; and a sister, Elizabeth S. Brady. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Michelle Pettit; and two sisters, Lois Ann Chilcoate and Barbara Jean Clay.Services are planned for a later date.
