Francis L. "Doc" Judy

Francis L. “Doc” Judy, age 92, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, May17, 2023, at St. Joseph’s Hospital- South in Riverview, FL.
Born August 25, 1930, in Huntington, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Kathryn (Kromer) Judy.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Steven C. Judy (Joyce-deceased) and P. Kevin Judy (Cindy).
Doc is survived by his childhood sweetheart and wife of 72 years, Joan Elizabeth (Caudle) Judy; three sons, Gregory A. (Louise) Judy, David M. Judy (Tammy) and Darryl K. (Sandy) Judy; 10 grandchildren, Darin Judy, Emily Judy, Amanda Judy, Mary Beth Cook, Megan McKenzie, Benjamin Judy, Kendra Mayle, Melissa Wimer, Jeremy Ross and Ashley Vucelik; and 13 beautiful great grandchildren.
Doc graduated from the West Virginia University School of Pharmacy in 1952. He became owner of Judy’s Drug Store in Petersburg, West Virginia. in 1965, where he was a trusted and respected local pharmacist. He dedicated his life to taking care of his wife, five sons and his community.
Upon retirement, Joan and Doc traveled the country together, eventually settling down in Ruskin, FL, where they have lived for over 30 years.
At his request, he will be cremated and buried at a later time.
