Frances Anderson
Frances Marie Anderson, 88, of Edinburg, VA went to her new home that Jesus prepared for her Monday afternoon, August 21, 2023, surrounded by her family that she so loved and adored.
A funeral service for Mrs. Anderson will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 25, 2023, at Virginia Hills Church in Front Royal with Pastor Eric Reploeg officiating. All are welcome. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. A graveside service will be held at Stonewall Memorial Gardens in Manassas on Monday, August 28, 2023 at 10 a.m.
Frances was born in Letcher County, Kentucky on March 20,1935, to the late Henry and Effie Jane Adkins. Frances grew up in Wise County, Va. She loved growing up in a big family with 8 other siblings; Louise, James, Edford, Wanda, Richard, Ada, Sue, and Roger were all close growing up and they stayed connected all through the years. She married Luther Anderson on January 9, 1954, in Dickenson County, Va and they would have celebrated their 70th year of marriage this coming year.
Her children and their spouses; Raymond & Patricia, Rita & Johnny, Randall & Ronda, Regina & Brandon, and Russell & Regina served as the center of her focus. Her grandchildren and spouses; Monica & Nathan, Aaron & Susan, Miranda & Jason, Jessica & Matt, James & Devin, Rachel, Randa & Josh, Tucker, Ethan & Ella, Amber, Lukas, Kaytlin and Autumn Bell along with her great grandchildren; Michael, Matthew, Leighann, Lynndsay, Lilianna, Jack, Jonathan, Cadence, Lincoln, Alaina, Abigail, Summer, Jaxon, Felicity and Declan were her heart beats.
Frances loved spending her time turning a house into a home where warmth, love and devotion could be tasted by her home cooked meals, or you would find her at her church where she served behind the scenes faithfully for over six decades. Cleaning was her love language :)
She has left an eternal impact on those who call her mom or mammaw because she called Jesus Lord!
