Faye Louise (Huffer) Horn

Faye Louise Huffer Horn, 80, of Mount Solon, passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at her home with her family by her side.

She was born on April 14, 1945 and was a daughter of the late Clarence P. "Jack" and Ruth (Shull) Huffer.

Faye graduated from North River High School, class of 1962, and Dunsmore Business College, class of 1963. She was a active member of Moscow Covenant Brethren Church. She was a teacher's aide at North River Elementary School for 19 years, and served on the Augusta County Elections Board for 12 years. Faye was active on the family farm, worked in the greenhouse and raising turkeys. She loved gardening and was active in her community. Her greatest joy came from time spent with her family.

Faye was united in marriage on October 12, 1963 to Charles E. Horn Sr.

Surviving in addition to her husband are her children, Kimberley H. Nixon & husband Robert "Tom", and Charles E. "Chuck" Horn, Jr. and wife Jill, and grandchildren, Elizabeth Nixon Marshall & husband Jordan, Robert T. Nixon, III & wife Camryn, Olivia Horn and Joe Horn.

A service celebrating Faye's life will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Oak Hill Cemetery with Pastor Darren Howdyshell officiating.

The family will receive friends on Monday, July 28, 2025 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Johnson Funeral & Cremation Service in Bridgewater.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Shenandoah or Mt. Solon Fire & Rescue.

The family wishes to express their appreciation to Dr. John O Marsh and staff and the Hospice of the Shenandoah for their care for Faye.
