Evelyn "Geraldine" Dearing Teele

Evelyn “Geraldine” Dearing Teele, 100, passed away January 4th, 2024. She was born Evelyn Geraldine Wood on September 15th, 1923 to the late Bernard G. Wood and Grace M. Pugh in Lynchburg, VA. She married William L. Dearing on January 9th, 1942. To this marriage was born James Craig Dearing and Gregory Douglas Dearing of Fayetteville, NC.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; William L. Dearing; her son James; and two sisters, Norma Herron and Loretta Pauls.

Geraldine is survived by her son, Gregory Dearing; a sister, Betty Jean Lester with husband Kenneth; five grandchildren, Christopher Dearing, Dr. Joshua Dearing with wife Tina, Kristen Dearing Hudson with husband David, Jeffrey Dearing, and Kevin Dearing. In addition, she is survived by four great granddaughters, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was a faithful member of the Waynesboro Seventh-Day Adventist Church and a leader in the Fayetteville Seventh Day Adventist Church in North Carolina.

Geraldine met and married Dwight Gaylord Teele in 2007. He preceded her in death in 2021.

She waits with much love, her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at His second coming.
