Eugene Roy Dauberman
Eugene āGeneā R. Dauberman, 84, of Crimora, Virginia passed away on Friday,
November 17th, 2023, at home.
Gene was born to Harold and Dorothy Dauberman on March 29, 1939. In 1957, he
graduated from Selinsgrove High School. Three years later, he married his wife of 63
years, Frieda Beaver. They raised four children: three daughters and a son.
Gene worked for Amp Incorporated for almost 40 years. In 1978, he and his wife plus
two of their children moved to Virginia for his promotion to Production Supervisor at
Amp. From that time on, the family split time traveling back and forth between Virginia
and Pennsylvania on weekends and holidays. Through all these years, he was a part-time
farmer raising livestock and growing crops on their fourth-generation family farm in
Pennsylvania. He also served in the U.S. Army Reserves.
Gene had a love of agriculture, hunting, fishing, and gardening which he passed down to
his children and grandchildren. He attended many NASCAR races and was always
pulling for Dale Earnhart, Sr. He and Frieda were members of the Circle 8 Square Dance
Club. He was also a member of the Crimora Ruritan Club and enjoyed many monthly
events with the club. He was a faithful blood donor. In later years, he could be found with
a sudoku puzzle book or a word search and a pen. He loved his family, and he and Frieda
spent a lot of time traveling to birthday parties, sporting events, and family celebrations.
He is survived by his wife, Frieda, children Lieda Roush (Jim), Laora Brizendine (Tony),
Lanee Shiplett (Leon), and Lavan Dauberman (Barbara); brothers Marshall Dauberman
(Jana) and Clair āJackā Dauberman (Linda), brother-in-law Darwin Beaver (Barb),12
grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, aunt, uncle, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, James Dauberman.
He was a member of Zionās Church of Kratzerville where his service will be conducted
by Pastor Dan Conklin at 4106 PA-204, Selinsgrove, PA, 17870, on Saturday, November 25, 2023 with visitation beginning at 12:30-1:45pm and funeral service starting at 2:00pm. The burial will be in
Zionās Reformed Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to Zionās Church of Kratzerville or Kratzerville Volunteer Fire
Company.
