Ernest "Bo" Carlton Gregory

November 3, 1963 - April 30, 2023

Ernest “Bo” Carlton Gregory, 59, of Staunton, danced into the arms of Jesus on Sunday, April 30, 2023 surrounded by his family, after a brief battle with cancer.

“Bo” was born on November 3, 1963 in Staunton, Virginia to Ernest “Butch” Gregory and Ella Stark who survive him.

Our Sweet Bo was a kind, humble and simple man. He loved music and dancing at the Moose Lodge on the weekends, where he has been a member for over 30 years. As he would say, “I shake a leg with everybody”, and we know he was loved by them all.

Bo loved collecting NASCAR memorabilia over the years and decorated his entire basement with it.

Bo has been employed by the City of Staunton in the Refuge department for the last 26 years, where he was a very loyal employee and a hard worker. He worked every day up until this recent illness abruptly attacked his precious body.

Left to cherish his memories, in addition to his parents, is his stepmother, Bonnie Gregory; three sisters, Kim Craft and husband Darryl, Amanda Gregory, and Georgia Gregory; a brother, Andy Gregory; his companion, Rhonda Hull; five nephews, Tinker Alphin and Trish, Nathan Gregory, Trent Taylor and Ed, Austin Craft, Blaine Hudson and Bri; three aunts, Julia Forney, Darlene Meeks and Dodie Jack; an uncle, Jimbo Jack; and great-niece and great-nephews, Baylei, Dylan and Evan Alphin.

Bo will also be missed by numerous cousins, work friends, Moose friends and his special cat, Sassy.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 4, 2023 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 5, 2023 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Reverend Lloyd Via.

Burial will follow in Craigsville Memorial Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Chris Lambert, Tinker Alphin, Darryl Craft, Junior Jack, Eddie Smith, and Austin Craft.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
