Eric Craig

Eric Logan Craig, 32, of Waynesboro, passed away Monday, May 20, 2024 at his home. He was born in Rockingham Memorial Hospital, Harrisonburg on October 9, 1991.

Eric was a 2010 graduate of Waynesboro High School and most recently, prior to his illness, was employed at The Barn Restaurant, Waynesboro. He loved fishing with his family and friends and was an avid lover of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Eric was loved by everyone he met and will be truly missed by his friends and family.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Harold Lane Wichael, his cousin, Keith Alexander Wichael and his uncle, Clarence Edward Truslow.

Eric is survived his mother, Lynn Renee Craig of Waynesboro; his father and step-mother, Johnny Lee Tanner and Kathy Tanner, of Crimora; his two daughters, Mariah and Sadie of Fishersville; his brothers, Derek Tanner of Stuarts Draft and Jeremy Craig and his wife, Krista of Grottoes; his grandmother, Betty Perry of Waynesboro; his uncles, Gary Wichael of Stuarts Draft and Danny Wichael of Waynesboro; his aunt, Michelle Wichael; his cousins, Nicholas Wichael, Kristen Wichael, Gary Wichael, Jr., Janoah Wichael, Jack Wichael and Ava Wichael and Eric’s niece, Emma Craig.

The family would like to offer a special thanks to the ladies of Augusta Health – Hospice of the Shenandoah for the care shown Eric.

The family will schedule a Celebration of Life at a later date.

The family is being served by the Charlton and Groome Funeral Home and Crematory of Fishersville.
