Ellen Richardson Pryor

Ellen Richardson Pryor, 91, widow of Harry Lee Pryor, Jr. of Waynesboro, passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2026 at her residence. Mrs. Pryor was born in Augusta County, Virginia on October 25, 1934, a daughter of the late Robert A. and Roberta Richardson. Ellen retired from Western State Hospital. Her enjoyment of life was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband of fifty years, Ellen was preceded by her grandson, Jermaine Pryor. Surviving, are a son, Anthony Pryor (Mary) of Austin, TX and a daughter, Dawn Pryor of Waynesboro; four grandchildren; Shawn (Ivy) Williams, Jaime (Lamont) Tate, Natasha Jacques (Aimee), Marcus (Latoya) Pryor and great-grandchildren, Sophia Williams, Imara Williams, Rebekah Williams, Shyhiem Washington, Kian Tate, Jayla Tate, Zaire (Maddie) Tate, Jasiah White, Miracle Price, Mya Tate, Gabriella Pryor, Abigail Pryor, Aubrey Pryor, Anson Pryor, Lamar Fleming, and Laron Fleming; and Julie Pryor. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 7, 2026 in Coffman Funeral Home Chapel. Burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery in Staunton.
