Edward "Stanton" Stevens
Edward “Stanton” Stevens, 61, of Maurertown, VA passed away peacefully on March 16, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Stanton was born in Pascagoula, MS on August 30, 1963, a son of the late Jimmy Edward and Ada Marie Mizell Stevens. He worked as a transportation agent with the Federal Emergency Management Agency, a member of Winchester Church of God, and was known for his Christ-like heart and infectious laugh.
He is survived by his wife, Anita; one daughter Stefani; a bonus daughter Christina; two siblings along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A celebration of life service for Stanton will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 22, 2025, at Winchester Church of God with Pastor Chad Dunford officiating.
Pallbearers will be Drew Stevens, Aaron Burner, Ron Clevenger, TJ Sloan, Swanee Bridgett, and Gary Shipe. Stanton will be laid to rest privately.
The family will receive friends at Winchester Church of God on Friday evening from 6-8 P.M.
The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of memorial contributions to Winchester Church of God, 2080 N. Frederick Pike, Winchester, VA 22603.
