Edna "Nookie" Collins
Edna āNookieā Collins, 78, of Crimora passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at Birch Gardens, Staunton.
Born October 2, 1945 in Waynesboro she was a daughter of the late Percy Edward and Ethel (Frazier) Craig.
Edna who was affectionately called āNookieā by those who knew her loved spending time with her family. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing bingo, listening to Alan Jackson and going dancing. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Jackson āAJā Collins, Jr.; brother, Eugene Mack Craig; and sister, Evelyn Craig.
Survivors include her three daughters, Deborah Terrell of Crimora, La Saundra Terrell of Crimora, and Stacey Spencer (Terry) of Crimora; grandchildren, Douglas āJacobieā Napier (Kristian Wallace), Skylar Napier (Justin Cook), Casedy Thomas (Matt), Taijha Jones, Trisha Bruce (Kahlil Woodson), and Zachery Spencer; 10 great-grandchildren; special sister, Frances C. Serrett of Waynesboro; special friends, Jean Bowles, Dot Ponds, and Linda Scrogham; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may pay their respects and sign the register from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Monday, October 16, 2023 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 618 W. Main St., Waynesboro.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at Riverview Cemetery, 420 Rosser Avenue, Waynesboro with Pastor Billy Coffey officiating. All who plan to attend are asked to meet directly at the cemetery.
