Earline M. Elkins

CHURCHVILLE - Earline May McManaway Elkins, 95, of Churchville, died Thursday (July 14, 2022) in Shenandoah House.

Born January 11, 1927 in Churchville, she was a daughter of Walter Bently and Minnie (Hodge) McManaway. She attended Churchville High School and was employed by General Electric / Genecom for 37 years, retiring as machinery department supervisor.

She was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Elkins; a sister, Mildred Skeps Davis; a brother, Ralph McManaway; and a grandson, Jeffrey McWhorter. Surviving are five children, Marie Elkins, Ronnie Elkins, Danny Elkins and Robert “Hook” Elkins, all of Churchville, and Douglas Elkins of Staunton; a sister-in-law, Arlene Wimer McMananaway of Churchville; and grandchildren Penny Harman, Tabitha Humphreys, Angela Elkins, Ronnie Elkins Jr., Danny Elkins Jr., Todd Elkins, Ericka Martin, Rodney Elkins, Scott Elkins and Eric Elkins; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 19 in Green Hill Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Jonathan Farmer.
